IronFX, one of the leading online retail forex brokers headquartered in Cyprus, continues its outreach to the local community which is primarily channeled through the IronFX Charitable Foundation, which was founded by the senior management of IronFX Global in 2013, in order to support a wide range of local and international charitable activities, especially in the fields of child welfare, education, community support, health and medical research.
Within this framework, IronFX run the IronFX Scholars programme and held on 5 September its first ever scholarship ceremony, which according to the company’s CEO marked “a milestone in the history of the IronFX Charitable Foundation.” During the ceremony, two outstanding applicants were awarded fully funded Secondary School Scholarships, while one exceptional student received a University Scholarship at a top-tier university in the UK.
More specifically, two students with exceptionally high academic achievements, Marinos Antreas Charalambous and Anna Maria Sachtouri were selected to receive a full academic scholarship to attend Foleys Secondary School in Limassol from September 2014, and each subsequent year until their graduation. An independent, multinational private secondary school, Foleys is renowned for providing its students with one of the highest standards of educational instruction in Cyprus.
Moreover, the IronFX Charitable Foundation Scholarship Review Committee chose another applicant from a pool of high-caliber students, and awarded him funding for his undergraduate degree. The student, Andreas Hatzineofytou will receive $15,000 per year, towards the costs of his academic fees and living expenses, throughout his BSc degree in Mathematical Sciences at City University London.
